Indian artillery drill before induction of M777 and K9 howitzers
India had earlier ordered around 145 BAE M777 ultra light howitzers and 100 K9 vajra self propelled howitzers which are being manufactured in India by Larsen and toubro ! the delivery of the guns were initiated recently , the army held a small drill to showcase the capabilities of both the guns before they were officially handed over to them ! Both series of guns underwent extreme trials in hot and cold climate conditions before being inducted !

As we know india had been using the age old BMP2 ifv for quite a long time and the need for a modern ifv has been raised quite a few times , now with the involvement of private sector in indian defence firms like reliance , tata , punj loyd are making inroads , this ifv concept by data looks amazing , hopefully they get the go ahead from Mod and provide the forces with this vehicle !

on the 2nd of aug , 2017 a combined team of J&K police , Rashtriya rifles and crpf raided the hideout of dreaded lashkar terrorist abu dujana , when he returned fire they burnt down the entire building killing abu and his accomplice !
